Our 3rd Giveaway is so Fantastic I'm tempted to keep it for myself.
Ovenu (Professional Oven cleaners to the Stars and to Me) who I always use to clean the FF oven and who make the filthiest ovens look like New are giving a lucky reader a professional oven clean! I know! Such a good thing to win.
So handy if your oven has been dealing with slow roasted pork belly and similar.
This prize is only available to readers who live in metropolitan Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra or Perth.
And another thing, If you contact them and mention this blog they'll give you $10 off your oven clean. The $10 off lasts until 5 March 2013.
Meanwhile, inspired by Mrs Vreeland's Garden-In-Hell Billy Baldwin decorated living room I went with a kind of red pink and leopard theme today. It's kind of Christmassy.
Look at this stunning plate that my little boy made at the Orphanage! I remember making these as a child too. I'm going to get him to do one every year.
Made a key lime pie today
with a sour cream topping.
It was 11/10
To enter our Fancy pants Giveaway and secure one of these 3 fab prizes, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post or any of the next 13 or so before 5 December 2012 and if you feel like it you can like the blog on Facebook. If you can be bothered you can follow me on Instagram too (where I am Fauxfuchsia)
My sister once asked me if the blog was one of the best things in my life.
It isn't, but I enjoy doing it and I love having an online scrap book for the last 3 years.
I've also met some truly fabulous people.
You know who you are.

Eeeeeeeeep! Pressure's on!
ReplyDeletecongrats on being no 1 x
DeleteWe went to this fancy schmancy soiree on Saturday night and these lovely people slow cooked their pork bellies for 8 hours and used Ovenu to clean their oven and BBQ.
ReplyDeleteAnd all I could think was: Faux Fuchsia is omnipotent...
xx
Ovenu are the best!!!
DeleteToday I bought a cushion shaped like a deer and one with a cool fox print - when I told husband that we needed then because we are knowingly undercushioning he looked at me like I was insane. Contemplating making enormous equine cushion out of plus size equestrian print dress. Naaay. Kathleen
ReplyDeleteGood work re educating the husband!
DeleteI need my oven professionally cleaned. Although I am convinced it will take a whole team of people and two days to really do the job. When I read a new recipe, I'm afraid they assume that I start with a clean oven.
ReplyDeleteOvenu could make it look like you- you should see mine!
DeleteDear FF,
ReplyDeleteAs you would be aware it's hard to make me speechless but seriously you are going above and beyond the rules of blogland. ( there are no rules, lol). Your giveaways are the things of dreams and your readers are very blessed.
I think that you hit the nail on the head, your blog is one facet of your life but it's a great one. I'm thrilled to be a reader and enjoy all your posts and the comments left by the fuschiaettes.
B. x
Thanks B, you re a true stalwart!
DeleteI am loving all these posts. They make me smile when I get home from work. I am inspired by your prolific posting!
ReplyDeleteThanks PP x
DeleteSanta's coming early.
ReplyDeleteHave been eyeing Red Phoenix Emporium for quite some now. Goody!
You won't be sorry owning a few- I love them and wear them all the time.
DeleteAlways get compliments on them too x
I am aware of your longstanding loyalty to the Red Phoenix Necklace.
DeleteDo they ship internationally?
Cellar Door
You weren't kidding about the high-end swag you would provide for some fortunate readers. I've always considered the blog as gift enough, and you and your friends have amazed me with your generosity for this celebration. Good luck to everybody!
ReplyDeleteI luff a celebration x
DeleteI love that that the Ovenu people offered you up a prize!
ReplyDeleteIndia x
Dear India
DeleteIt made me laugh when they contacted me- turns out they get a lot of referrals from my blog when I get mention them!
Oops I think my.post disappeared. Anyhoo the gist of it was that I don't care if I win anything, I will carry on reading and commenting til I'm blue in the face cos I love it.
ReplyDeleteEven though I am quite different to you ie. I am lazy, you are energetic, I dislike the beach, you love it, you are glam and I am a frump, I still look forward to all your posts and I think I'm single handedly responsible for your stats because when I'm home with the kiddies I often look at your posts multiple times on the sly on my phone because they are just so deadset cheering!!
You've introduced me to such life improving things as good quality nail polish, Gilt.com, the world of bloggging and also Target ginger jar tops amongst other stuff. Thanks FF!
Sometimes I think I am responsible for the stats when I click on to moderate comments?
DeleteGilt and those target tops are key things!
I sought out A Good Mandarin is Hard to Find thanks to your Blog! Healthyworld Pharmacies (Chermside, Stones Corner, Garden City) have OPI got 12.99 all the time. Run Don't Walk.
ReplyDeletethanks for the shootout re OPI at the chemist
DeleteGee that is a good price for OPI!
DeleteYou know today someone was complaining on Facebook about cleaning the oven and I posted that my list of things I want when I'm rich is have the oven cleaning man in. Am I destined to win that prize? I can only hope (and pray and cross my fingers).
ReplyDeleteI will be quite sad when the cavalcade of blog posts end. I read the daily torrent while I eat my lunch and I have to say the last few weeks have been so enjoyable reading all of them.
I am poor but always find the $ for oven. Seriously it makes you oven look expensive and new
DeleteI bought my first OPI polishes and an orange-y polish as a direct consequence of reading your blog. I found it via the Phoenix twins - they said you were funny and they weren't wrong!
ReplyDeleteLuff the twines.
DeleteAm much funnier in real life.
It's true, so funny!!
Deletehard to be funny in print much easier IN REAL LIFE!
DeleteAgree it is hard to do, but you're pretty funny in print!
DeleteThe key lime pie looks delicious! I love that pink and white middle cushion where did you purchase?
ReplyDeleteHi
DeleteThe fabric is from Black and Spiro and you cannot buy it as I made it myself.
Whipped it up on the machine with my own bare paws
Ooh FF, my heartiest congratulations on cracking the Big Three. What did Blogland ever do before you?! I completely forget. You've certainly made it A Better Place.
ReplyDeleteI am honoured to be in the company of such Stalwarts. Thanks for including me - I can't wait to see who wins a Planet Joy pretty. Bring it on! J x
Love your liberty covered words and your etsy shop x
DeleteWhat a fabulous giveaway!!! I have been reading your blog from the beginning & you inspired me to start my own, which I find a wonderful tool for relaxing...
ReplyDeleteI also made a similar plate as a child ;)
I think blogging is relaxing too x
DeleteFabulous giveaway! I've been reading your blog for about 2 years now and love it sick. In fact I spend far more time than is socially acceptable wondering why your blog hasn't cracked the Big Time and got itself an agent yet x
ReplyDeleteDear K
DeleteMr FF and I wonder about this too.
I do get offered advertising things but I turn almost everything down.
x
Love Jane's liberty print words. And the necklaces. And baby FF's plate. I had a friend that put them on plate hooks and displayed her kids plates on the wall. They actually looked really good (considering that they're melamine). xx
ReplyDeleteLove them too.
DeletePersonally I rate melamine.
I have dinner parties on my melamine spot plates from Coles.x
I enjoy your blog very much FF.
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough I was probably studying Law alongside you somewhere in an overcrowded lecture theatre!
Though I wish I had learned to blow dry my hair properly. They didn't manage to teach me anything really useful.
Thanks L
DeleteUni is long ago for me now....22 years since I started!
Wow and hooray, FF! Your recent blogging dedication is nothing if not inspirational. Love and happies xxxxxx
ReplyDeletethanks Sare x
DeleteHi FF,
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog. Can you please do a post on how to paint your nails, yours always look so professional, mine always look horrible.
I just shove the polish on... years of practice!
DeleteHave recently sourced several new cushion covers and made me think of you. Already following on Facebook and Instagram. Would love love love a new Red Phoenix necklace. Hoping someone will get me one for Christmas!

ReplyDeleteYou always brighten my day FF, and I love reading all the comments too. I would be over the moon to win any one of your amazing prizes, they are all so gorgeous!
ReplyDeletethanks Averil you are a true stalwart
Deleteawesome give away! I love the fanciness of your blog and vogue posts, it makes me want to grow up and be you haha!
ReplyDeleteI will take this as a compliment even though I am terribly young. Only 40.
DeleteCan you confirm that your bed is actually made from a mattress with springs and foam? And not a board of wood? I have never seen such a smooth bedspread!!! Do you use a staple gun every day to secure the coverings? And do you iron your bed spread every day after making the bed? Or do the wrinkles scuttle away in fear after you give them a searing look?
ReplyDeleteOK, sorry, twenty questions over. I am just in awe of your bed making skills!!!
Ok this is so funny!
DeleteI iron the doona covers after I wash them and when I make the bed they sit nicely. Today when I was doing the bed the baby kept throwing the cushions off and trying to pull the doona off which was pretty funny.
What can I say? I just like a nicely made bed!
And who can blame you? They are a thing of beauty.
DeleteI love the fanciness of your blog and vogue posts! It makes me want to grow up to be you haha!
ReplyDeleteBut I am so young!
DeleteI will be writing those opi names down I already love A good manderine is hard to find (Don't you love the names ?) but I haven't tried the other two yet.
ReplyDeletePS Baby's plate is adorable.
I love the names too.
DeleteThanks re the plate. I treasure it.
Oh please pick me! What an awesome giveaway. Even if I don't win, I think I'll have to schedule an oven clean. I always try to do mine twice a year, but this year haven't even done it once. Also, those ar definitely Superior beads - would luff to get my mitts on them. X
ReplyDeleteI get oven to do mine and I have never ever regretted it!
Delete"I want it all, I want it all, I want it all and I want it now !"xx
ReplyDeleteha! and we will post overseas too x

ReplyDeletethank you!
DeleteI went to the kas (cushion makers) outlet last week. My husband said our couch has too many cushions now but I can't but help think it might need a couple more. Jenn vd
ReplyDeleteHello! Wonderful prizes, would be honoured to receive any of them.
ReplyDeleteCould you please pass on a request to your lovely friends re : the beads. I am a long time collector of beads but since undergoing a preventative mastectomy my new fake boobs make the beads join between my boobs :( I am sure many big breasted or fake breasted women have the same problem - would love beads with a tassle or something so that they are designed to fall between if that makes sense! Something nice and long and glitzy. Thank you! (Sorry for taking over your blog with my wants and needs x)
Righto- Lotus are you reading? what about those long tassel ones?
DeleteI don't have fake boobs but I often find this is an Issue...
Lotus will know what to do.
Ok ladies, being of the small-chested variety I sadly don't have a boobs/necklaces issue but don't be afraid, our necklaces are for everyone!
DeleteMy Aunt and Mum are quite busty (how did that skip me?) so I have something to go on. I would advise going for our extra long designs that will fall below the bust instead of getting stuck on the shelf.
We have some lovely long designs with crosses in our Skulls and Crosses collection and there are some brand new tassel designs coming to our Nature in Neon collection available on the website from Friday www.redphoenixemporium.com
Maybe I'll just do a blog post for you on our Best Big-Breasted Designs :) www.redphoenixstyle.blogspot.com.au
L
xx
thanks darl I ave linked to your answers in my latest blog x
DeleteThank you so much, I feel honoured to have had a reply!
DeleteI will have a look on Friday, I am very partial to tassels (love those tassels that you have to attach to clutches etc - I will have to get a few of those too)
Thanks again both of you x
Nicola
LOTUS, i do love that white tassel necklace pictured in your blog!!! Friday eh??? :)

DeleteWhat a wonderful giveaway. So close to 1000!!! I'm excited for you xo
ReplyDeletethanks L x

DeleteMy endorsements carry some weight I believe.
If there was ever a bandwagon for me to jump on, this it. Officially throwing my hat in the ring. Love your prolific work FF, a doyen in the Australian Blogging community X
ReplyDeleteWould love to be in with a chance for a win - but am not a commenting stalwart (although a blog stalwart - when I found you I went back and read Every Single Post. Then Capitalised My Socks Off for a very long time). Still read every day, you're top of my blog reader and first one I always read because you're so deadset happy every single post. Second fave is A-M because she is such a Inspiration and full of Grace and Courage.
ReplyDeleteC
The prizes are fabulous!!!! fingers and toes!!!!

They are so talented those babies!
Looking forward to Thursday!
And that pie looks absolutely amazing!
Dear FF
ReplyDeleteHave been reading your blog for ages and always enjoy it. Even tried out some of the recipes. Yum. It's as if you live in a parallel world to mine, but I love the colour and humour and glamour. Have never been what you'd call a prizewinner, but throwing my hat in the ring as I'd love any of the prizes. All great. Best wishes, Pamela
Long time reader, first time comment-ter! Love your blog, love the baby and love that gorgeous tree! xx
ReplyDeleteI don't know what is funnier, the blog or some of your one liner replies to comments.
ReplyDeleteFunny I called and booked Oven U the other day. Not for my oven... did you know they also do BBQ's. Mine's booked in to be good as new for christmas. The chap tells me it will take about 4 hours and cost probably three times as much as buying a new one. It was at that point in the conversation that I thought about buying an Oven U franchise. $10 off will help. I'm going to call back and mention the blog for sure.
Ps I want I want I want to win!!!
Thanks for the chance to win FF. I would love any of these prizes and would love nothing more than to share them with my special girlfriends.
ReplyDeleteThank you x

ReplyDeleteK xx
Wow FF you may have outdone yourself! Almost three years of blogging; almost 1000 posts; responding to almost all comments AND superior giveaways! Clearly not an idle soul...
ReplyDeleteBravo FF and thank you Willow. That is fabulous about Ovenu giving a discount due to your endorsement.
ReplyDeleteI am going to use your OPI colour recommendations for Xmas presents, do hope they don't get sold out due to your endorsement.
Damn, I don't live in Australia, but I have had 2 pyrolytic (self-cleaning) ovens put in my new kitchen because that is one job I also hate. You have accomplished so much with your blog, FF - quite wonderful, all round! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteA stellar giveaway.
ReplyDeleteYour blog cheers me, inspires me and comforts me.
Although I am an inept gardener, an uninspired cook, an intermittent groomer, an absent-minded housekeeper, and a staunch vegetarian! You certainly appeal to a broad cross-section.
All the best
Carolyn from Sydney
Lucky FF always tells us vegetarians when to look away!!
DeleteDear FF,
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you realise that, in your own small way, you are changing lives? Well, mine anyway!
Am loving this deluge of blog posts FF. Will be sorry to see them end as well. They are so cheery and inspiring. Would love to win any of the fabulous prizes. And baby/toddler FF? Can't get enough of him and his work/antics :-)
ReplyDeletejac
I just spent a girl's weekend Brisbane and had breakfast at one of your haunts, was hoping you might grace us with your presence, even redid my nail polish in case. Would have love to get an autograph for my friend B who introduced me you your blog which is now a daily habit for us both. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI owe my love of OPI to you FF. Well done, well done. Most engineers are not fashion conscious but not me! I'd live it up in the necklaces and nailpolish.
ReplyDeleteI have you to thank for my love of OPI. Well done, well done! Most engineers are not fashion conscious but not me! Winner-me would live it up in those necklaces and polish
ReplyDeleteI am a recent fan but have embraced the FF ways. Husband keeps muttering and correcting my use of the word LUFF. But what would he know? He under cushions and that's just not on, is it? Congrats on 3 years, 1000 posts and many more 11/10 moments.
ReplyDeleteDear FF, your blog inspires me to take up my keyboard and revisitt my blogging again. Thanks for the colour, the fun and all the food pics! Good luck with the rest of your challenge...look forward to reading more!

ReplyDeleteI'm feeling lucky FF. Besides the fabulosity of the your give aways, the Powerball lottery over here is approaching $500,000,000! I'm not kidding, that's half a billion dollars! Can you imagine?!!!! You and Powerball all in the same week!
ReplyDeleteI would love (or luff) to win a little something from your giveway, it's all so colourful and would definately cheer me up in cold, wintery Germany! x
ReplyDeleteOh... love your posts, love the chance to win a wonderful gift. And love, love, love pictures of you precious little boy. Eleanor
ReplyDeleteI am biting the bullet and putting up my Christmas Tree this weekend. As you say, it involves a lot of admin.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the blogiversary. I haven't been reading from day 1 but I think I've been on board for over a year. I did also sit down and read all of the past posts. I think that deserves a prize!
Anyway, thanks for all the great posts!

Hi FF,
ReplyDeleteDid you know that you are giving us all a wonderful Christmas this year just by your mega posting. Can't tell you how much you lift my day when I get an email to let me know that my favourite blogger has posted. You are such a breath of fresh air. Have tried to source a ginger jar top from Target in Shepparton but to no avail.
Cindy from Shepparton
xx
You are so generous, FF! I love the prizes and we all love your blog.
ReplyDeleteThese bright and shiny things (clean oven included) make my heart beat a little faster!
ReplyDeleteThese bright and shiny things (clean oven included) make my heart beat a little faster!
ReplyDeleteFF, you rock. I have to say like Sarah I am gobsmacked at your ability to bring glamour, elan and fabulosity to everyday life. I too like the contrast with my schlumpy version. I think Brisbane should devote a space in GOMA to you! That's how much of a cult phenomenon you are to me!
ReplyDeleteI sometimes think of you when I try to accessorise. Then I end up taking off my beads because they just don't look as... soignee. So I am in the grip of accessory fear. Perhaps you can advise all of us who once fell for minimalism? I know, so 1997. Did you ever just wear black and white and no jewels? I'm sure you would've looked super glam anyway.
Luff all your giveaways, 11/10.
This is a high end giveaway indeed!! Adore those necklaces!
ReplyDeleteFF, I am nothing but a joiner, so had to comment. Love your blog. Its introduced me to so many wonderful things, including acquiring a netball player in the form of Lotus Phoenix for my mixed netball team! You bring people together! Love your work. C xo

ReplyDeleteOh the Joy and Love words are lovely! Also like the idea of an oven clean although I think I would rather get a new oven altogether!
ReplyDeleteMy pants are not fancy at all this year so I simply must enter to try for a bit of style. Those beads are bead-udiful!
ReplyDeleteDear FF, I luff your blog 11/10 and am enjoying all your posts as your blog approaches it's 3rd birthday. I am in awe of your ability to do so many posts in a short time.
